3rd Conversation with a speaker
This week I
talk with some guys in my homestay. Well is interesting when I meet new
people and is most interesting here, because there are many nationalities and different
costumes.
Well, we
talked about their religion, their idioms. They’re a couple and they’re from
India, Ambrita is a nice girl and she speaks just two languages: English and indu,
her boyfriend who name is Gurpreet speaks tree languages: English, Bajabi and
Indu.
They are
nice people, and Gurpreet works in Microsoft and Ambrita likes to dance. They ‘ve
lived here since 2 years and we talked about India and Mexico, and it was very
funny but our countries are very equal with all of this traffic jam, pollution,
many people, different idioms, crazy people, bad words, even the name of the
food is very similar.
I enjoyed
when I understand and talk about with different people, their religions is sick
but he doesn’t have his long hair because he decided it.
They
believe just in a God, and they call like this. I talked them that in American
are very common to see many kinds of churches and different religions. We
talked about how they had learned English and with sad I recognized that the
education in Mexico is very bad. They were really nice, and it’s a little
different their pronunciation but I understand them… I wonder if they understood
me as well as I understood them. :P
I don’t
want to come back at Mexico L
Fremont/Ballard Locks
I think
that it’s my best adventure at the moment, all of this is amazing. The last
Wednesday we went to the Ballard Locks and the structure is really different.
It was
fantastic when I saw the boats; in México are not common all of this kind of
things, and how the water falls with that power, I didn’t understand very well
the structure but I saw some boats or launches with (even with dogs inside)
some people and they drive or anchored.
Well, the
Thursday we went to visit at the troll in Fremont and I liked the sculpture but
the area was a little dirty, but we have to know the parts more interesting in
Seattle and when I ate some chocolate in the Factory, I enjoyed all of this.

The Burke Museum and Bainbridge
The Burke
Museum is amazing, there are many interesting things, I enjoyed all about
history and I like it a lot.
Firstly, I
did my homework in the museum and answer some questions about whaling. Well, I
discovered a lot of interesting things like forms to communication, ceremonies
about salmon and whales, there are some information about Japan, China, Mexico
and other countries.
Well, In my
opinion I enjoyed better the level with dinosaurs, it’s amazing learn about
them, in the museum just We can see extinct animals like Quetzal is a green
bird in dangerous to disappear.
We went to
Bainbridge and it’s wonderful, we took a ferry and in Mexico’s not common, I’m
very surprised for the view and I was thinking about that I’ve never imagined
to use this kind of transportation.
The island
is very quiet and in some parts dessert, there are many trees and a really big
part of the island is like a forest, the weather is I think that less that in
down Seattle and I didn’t eat the ice cream, but I ate Teriyaki food and was very
tasty.
I'll want to come back :3

Activity on the weekend
My weekend
was awesome, well I come back early to house in Friday but in the Saturday and
the Sunday I lived amazing things.
Firstly I
want to talk about the Saturday, I went to Space Needle alone but the view is
really wonderful, I didn’t believe that I was here, It was like a dream, I
enjoy the view. It was very cold and a couple told me if I could take a photo
and I took the photo then I asked them the same question and of course they
took me a photo.
When I come
back to home, I forgot that all the stop station had been closed, then I walked
few avenues and finally I discovered when I could take the bus, and I came back
safe and sound to home.
The Sunday,
Arturo, Emma, Arturo’s friend and I went to a mountain, and we knew the snow. Unfortunately
we won’t be here when start to snow, but it was amazing the weather (really cold),
the tress with little snow, and the big mountain in front of us. Arturo’s
friend has a truck and he drives like a 4 hours, he’s a really good guy.
And finally
we visited (well in fact it was before we started the way for the mountain) a
nice place, where A girl with almost nothing (clothes) prepare coffee, the girl
(because maybe she’s 18 or something) was very pretty. Well, I enjoyed my weekend.

Languages
I'm living with a family and they're from India, their oldest son has a nice girlfriend. Her name is Samara and is very tall, pretty and very polite. She told me that her boyfriend enjoys to watch movies of Batman and he likes all about cars. She wants to learn Spanish and I said to her that I want to improve my english.
To summarize we talk about languages, people has different kinds of comunication, she told me that is difficult to learn speak in spanish, and I agree with her, because we use female and male and the adjetives are plural and singular, we have many conjugation in the verbs, and we don't use all the time pronouns.
The question is... Why is difficult the english for us? Well, I think than the most difficult part is the pronounciation and only in some cases the grammar. However, our language is easier I have some problems with the pronounciation but she said to me if i stay here for 1 year, i'll talk very fluently.
In fact a month is very few time but I enjoy the experience and I'm anxious to come back.

Interviews with native speakers
My partner Antonio and I decided to our topic is about "Green Cities", and last Friday some citizens of stealle stayed in our class. Then we talked with them and most of them are very intelligent. They told us all the great things which happen in Seattle, for example if someone doesn't recycle, has to pay a kind of fine.
A man told me that seattle is in pro clean energy like hydro electric whic is the best option for the city, beacause water falls between mountains and is very useful to produce energy. Here there are many laws about the recycle, clean energies and limits in the air, water, and for the industries.
I really enjoy my topic because I satudy Enviromental Engineering and I like this topic, We want to know more about this, and I think that is very interesting.
